Minju Joson on DPRK-Cuba Friendly Relations
Pyongyang, August 30 (KCNA) -- Minju Joson on Tuesday dedicates a signed article to the 62nd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the Republic of Cuba.

On August 29, 1960, the DPRK established the diplomatic ties with Cuba at an ambassadorial level in token of support and solidarity to the government and people of Cuba which embarked on the road of the building of a new society after putting an end to the colonial enslavement policy of the U.S. imperialists in the western hemisphere.

The two countries have since maintained the history of friendship invariably for the past decades, supporting and encouraging each other in the same trench of anti-imperialist independence and socialism, the article says, adding:

The top leaders of the two countries laid a foundation for the friendly relationship on the basis of the revolutionary principle, comradely faith and socialist principle and had steadily developed it.

The DPRK-Cuba strategic and comradely relations of friendship and cooperation, provided and developed by them, are now growing stronger in conformity with the requirements of the new era.

The DPRK government and people are rejoiced as over their own over the fact that the Cuban government and people have achieved the development and prosperity by their own efforts while resolutely countering in a revolutionary way the vicious anti-Cuba offensive of the U.S. imperialists.

The Cuban Party and government are fully supporting the DPRK government and people in their struggle to defend the dignity and sovereignty of the country and build a socialist power, which gives great encouragement to the DPRK people.

The friendship and cohesion between the DPRK and Cuba will as ever grow stronger, demonstrating its vitality to the full.
