President Kim Il Sung kindled the flames of insulating material revolution at the 6th Plenary Meeting of the 6th Party Central Committee in August Juche 71 (1982), and strengthened the factory into the country's reliable insulating-material producer through his energetic leadership.

Last year when the 8th Party Congress was held, the workers of the factory produced 2.3 times more various insulating materials and paints than planned, keeping in mind the great trust of Chairman Kim Jong Il who put it forward as a model unit of self-reliance in the period of the arduous march. As a result, the factory reached a record high in the yearly production.

On Aug. 29, a meeting was held to mark the 40th founding anniversary of the factory.

Attending it were Jon Hyon Chol, member of the Political Bureau and secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), Yang Sung Ho, vice-premier of the Cabinet, officials concerned and employees of the factory.

Jon Hyon Chol read out a congratulatory letter from the WPK Central Committee to the workers, technicians and officials of the factory.
