5th Scientific Conference on Juche-iron Held in DPRK

Pyongyang, September 1 (KCNA) -- The 5th Scientific Conference on Juche-iron was held at the Sci-Tech Complex of the DPRK on August 30 and 31 under the sponsorship of the Korean Association of the Metallurgical Industry of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.

Attended at the conference were officials, teachers, researchers and technicians of various units including the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry, Kim Chaek University of Technology, Chongjin University of Mining and Metallurgy, the Ferrous Metal Research Institute of the State Academy of Sciences, the May 28 Metal Research Institute of the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry, the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex, the Chongjin Steel Plant and the Puryong Ferroalloy Factory.

The conference discussed the ways to guarantee the Juche-iron production process in a scientific and technological way. There also took place a practical training.
