Efforts Concentrated into Transporting Timbers for Rural Housing Construction

Pyongyang, September 2 (KCNA) -- Timber producers under the Ryanggang Provincial Forestry Management Bureau in the DPRK are concentrating efforts into carrying the timbers in the final stage in the wake of fulfilling the timber production plan for rural housing construction.

Officials and workers of the Phungso Forestry Station transport many timbers every day by rationally mobilizing manpower, equipment and materials.

Several other stations attain good results in timber transport while ensuring the operation of tractors and trucks by regularly repairing and readjusting the mountainous roads.

The Tonggyesu, Hyongjesu and Pakchon stations under the Yonam Mine Timber Production Station accomplish the timber transport plan by laying forest railroads near to the felling places and increasing the operational rate of locomotives.
