Work for Preventing Damage from Typhoon Brisk in DPRK

Pyongyang, September 4 (KCNA) -- The land and environment protection sector of the DPRK dynamically wage the work for preventing damage from Typhoon No. 11. The Ministry of Land and Environment Protection grasped the general conditions of roads, rivers and anti-land-sliding structures across the country and dispatched officials to the relevant areas. Pyongyang City informed the residents and employees of counter-crisis methods and order of action to be observed in case of natural disasters. Jongju City and Unsan and Ryongchon counties in North Phyongan Province repair ditches and culverts, water pipes and revetments in tens of kilometers-long sections of roads. South Hwanghae Province dispatched watchers and rescue group members to dangerous spots of anti-tidal dykes and reservoirs, raising their responsibility and role. Similar successes have been witnessed in North Hwanghae, North Hamgyong and Kangwon provinces. |
