Rodong Sinmun Calls on Officials to Display Full Responsibility for Work of Their Regions, Fields and Units
Pyongyang, September 7 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun on Wednesday says in an editorial that officials, the leading members of the revolution, should dedicate themselves to the work for protecting all the precious things in the country while regarding the work for boosting the capability to prevent disaster as an important task for achieving the prosperity and development of the state and safeguarding the people's lives, adding this is the noble intention of the Party Central Committee.

All the officials should fully discharge the important tasks entrusted by the Party, revolution, times and the people by inscribing the intention of the Party Central Committee in their hearts and making redoubled efforts with maximum awareness, the editorial says, goes on:

Today, there is no more important work for the officials than protecting the lives of the people, who are valued as the most precious beings and upheld with much care by the Party, and improving their living standard.

To check whether there is anything imperfect that can threaten the lives of the people and to consider what should be done for improving the living standard of the residents and employees in their regions and units - this should be the standard of thinking and action of our officials.

Officials should fulfill their duties and obligations in the work for successfully accomplishing this year's tasks set forth by the Party by encouraging all the people in their boundless loyalty, indomitable spirit and sincere efforts through responsible and devoted struggle.

Officials should obviate any imperfections in the work for preventing disasters by maintaining strict vigilance and finding defects even in successes, not content with the initial results.

The editorial calls on all the officials to hasten the bright future of the Korean-style socialism by devoting themselves to the country and the people in the van of the struggle.
