In the message, the Lao president extended warm congratulations and best wishes to Kim Jong Un and, through him, to the WPK Central Committee and the fraternal government and all the people of the DPRK on behalf of the LPRP Central Committee and the government and people of Laos and on his own behalf on the occasion of the 74th founding anniversary of the DPRK.

I am very pleased with the fact that the position and role of the DPRK have been further enhanced in the regional and international arenas as the DPRK has achieved comprehensive development and firm political stability, sustainable development made in economy, rapid modernization and development witnessed in national defence and public security and defence forces, people's livelihood ceaselessly improved and foreign relations vitalized under the seasoned and resolute leadership of the WPK led by Kim Jong Un, the successor to the great revolutionary cause, the message said.

It noted that the LPDR and the DPRK have long traditions and good friendly and cooperative relations and the party and state leaders and peoples of the two countries have jointly defended and steadily developed the bilateral relations, thus bringing substantial interests to the peoples of the two countries and, furthermore, contributing to defending peace and stability and achieving cooperation and development in the region and the rest of the world.

It expressed firm belief that the DPRK will achieve continuous development and prosperity in attaining the target of building a socialist power under the resolute leadership of the WPK led by Kim Jong Un and realize the cause of peaceful reunification of the country without interference of foreign forces.

It sincerely wished Kim Jong Un good health and happiness and new greater success in his noble and honorable work.
