Wreaths Laid at Martyrs Cemeteries

Pyongyang, September 10 (KCNA) -- Wreaths were laid at the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt Taesong, the Patriotic Martyrs Cemetery in Sinmi-ri and the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery on September 9, the 74th founding anniversary of the DPRK. Present at the wreath-placing ceremonies were Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and premier of the Cabinet, Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, first vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly, Pak Jong Chon, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau and secretary of the WPK Central Committee , and Ri Il Hwan, Kim Jae Ryong, Jon Hyon Chol, Jong Gyong Thaek, Pak Jong Gun, Yang Sung Ho, Ri Chang Dae, Pak Su Il, U Sang Chol and other cadres of the Party, the government and the military and the participants in the Seventh Session of the 14th Supreme People's Assembly. Wreaths in the names of the Central Committee of the WPK, the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK and the Cabinet of the DPRK were laid at the wreath-laying stands of the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt Taesong, the Patriotic Martyrs Cemetery in Sinmi-ri and the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery. The participants paid a silent tribute to the memory of the martyrs. Bouquets and flowers were placed at the statues and cemeteries of martyrs, memorial towers for the fallen soldiers of the Korean People's Army and their graves in other parts of the country. |
