74th Founding Anniversary of DPRK Marked Abroad
Pyongyang, September 12 (KCNA) -- There took place celebrations, photo and book exhibitions and film shows in Laos, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Sweden and Mexico from September 5 to 7 to mark the 74th founding anniversary of the DPRK.

Speeches were made at the events.

A vice-president of the Central Committee of the Lao Federation of Trade Unions stressed that friendly and cooperative relations provided by Kaysone Phomvihane, the respected leader of the Lao people, and Kim Il Sung, the great leader of the Korean people, have been steadily developed to make a substantial contribution to the accomplishment of the revolutionary causes in the two countries.

The chairperson of the Denmark-DPRK Friendship Association said that the number of buildings for the good of the people is on the rise on a yearly basis and the children, the future of the country, happily grow up under the loving care of the Party and the state in the DPRK, adding that we should give wide publicity to the DPRK's reality among the Danish people and more briskly conduct solidarity activities with the Korean people.

The chairperson of the Finnish Communists' League pointed out that the DPRK's experiences and achievements in state-building serve as a valuable example for lots of countries of the world aspiring to independence and progress.

The chairperson of the Sweden-Korea Friendship Association excitedly said that the Juche-oriented socialist cause whose basic cornerstone was consolidated by President Kim Il Sung and which was powerfully advanced by Chairman Kim Jong Il has witnessed the golden age of its development in the great era of Kim Jong Un.

The general secretary of the Central Committee of the People's Socialist Party of Mexico said that Kim Il Sung founded the DPRK, the first democratic state of the people in the East, and turned it into a socialist country independent in politics, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliant in defence.

Congratulatory messages to the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un were adopted at the events held in Denmark and Sweden.
