Reports were made at the events attended by Jang Myong Gi and Kim Kum Ryong, secretaries of the Kaesong City Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, and officials and workers of the relevant units.

The reporters recalled that the President gave field guidance to various units of the city on September 14, Juche 61 (1972).

The President visited the Kaesong City Department Store and the Kaesong Janamsan Hotel and gave teachings on doing well the supply of goods and the management of the hotel and finding out special products and special diet of the Kaesong area.

Visiting the Kaesong City Songaksan Garment Factory, he set forth tasks for producing clothes for women and children, Korean clothes and suits and improving the working conditions for workers.

Giving field guidance to the Kaesong Schoolchildren's Palace and Tonghyon Primary School in Kaesong City, he gave the valuable teachings to be regarded as guidelines of the extracurricular education and edification of youths and students and put forward the detailed orientation and ways for successfully enforcing the universal compulsory eleven-year education.

The reporters stressed that the President's historic field guidance served as an occasion which brought about a radical turn in the overall undertakings in the city including the economic and cultural development and betterment of the people's life.

The reports referred to the achievements made by the relevant units for the past 50 years.
