Premier Kim Tok Hun Inspects Different Sectors in Pyongyang and Nampho Cities

Pyongyang, September 14 (KCNA) -- Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and premier of the Cabinet, inspected different sectors of Pyongyang and Nampho cities. Visiting the Pyongyang Construction Machine Plant, the premier stressed the importance of the plant's duty in vigorously accelerating major construction projects including the construction of 50 000 flats in Pyongyang City, the core of the construction policy set forth at the 8th Congress of the Party and the desire of our Party. He underscored the need to further raise the production of various kinds of machine accessories and the proportion of locally available materials by giving definite priority to science and technology and to guarantee the security of goods and further improve the automation level while reducing production costs. At the Pyongyang Electric Cable General Factory 326, he called for supplying more electric wires of good quality to different sectors of the national economy by taking measures after correctly estimating the quality level of goods in line with the Party's policy of thoroughly keeping the principle of giving priority to quality over quantity and by effectively organizing enterprise and management control. He, going round various farms of Nampho City including the Chongsan and Tokhung farms of Kangso District and the Township Farm in Ryonggang County, learned in detail about early crops' purchase and distribution and the yield of rice and maize. He called upon officials and agricultural working people to sincerely manure and tend crops near to the harvesting time with their redoubled efforts and to take detailed measures for overcoming the influence of disastrous abnormal weather and gathering stable grain yields in order to attain this year's grain production goal. The field consultative meetings discussed the issue of drastically boosting the production of elevators in close relations with relevant units, the issue of further strengthening quality supervision on various kinds of electric wires and the issue of making full preparations for concluding this year's farming. Meanwhile, the premier learned about reconstruction and modernization of the Kumsong Tractor Factory. |
