Number of Animals on Increase at Central Zoo

Pyongyang, September 14 (KCNA) -- The number of animals is increasing at the Central Zoo in the DPRK as the days go by. More than 100 species of animals bred at least 900 young this year. Among them are young of Asiatic black bear and Macaca fascicularis sent by Chairman Kim Jong Il. Spheniscus humboldri, presented to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un as gift by a Russian figure, reproduced its one young. Spheniscus humboldri reproduced young for the fifth time until this year. The Korean tiger dropped three cubs and Grus japonensis (red-crowned crane) two young. National dog-Phungsan, Bactrian camel and buffalo, too, brought forth their young. |
