The peak is famous for its scenic beauty as one of beauty spots of Mt Kumgang.

The basement rock of the peak in Outer Kumgang of Mt Kumgang is granite. All the rock peaks in the north, south and west are steep look imposing.

Jipson Peak has many spectacular rocks.

The peak, which is near the East Sea of Korea and in the middle of Outer Kumgang, serves as a sightseeing tower from which tourists can enjoy bird's-eye views of Outer Kumgang and Sea Kumgang.
