The county making a rapid development in the fruit production under the banner of scientific fruit farming has taken the lead in the nationwide socialist emulation drive for fruit farming in recent years.

The credit for its rapid change goes to the leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, who indicated the orientation and ways for boosting the fruit production in the county, a main fruit producer of the country.

In September Juche 106 (2017), he visited the county which reaped the richest fruit harvest ever known. Touching heavily-hanging apples one by one, he was very satisfied to see apple trees heavy with fruits, each with 200 fruits on the average and more than 300 fruits to the maximum.

Saying that the county should strive to make a higher leap on the basis of such success, he set forth the tasks for the county to take the lead in the fruit production of the country under the banner of scientific fruit farming and increase the good species of fruit trees.

Officials and workers of the county have raised the productivity even under unfavorable conditions due to the disastrous abnormal climate in recent years by putting the fruit farming on a scientific and intensive basis of higher level. They supplied many fruits to the Pyongyang citizens this year, too.
