The Ministry of Electric Power Industry and relevant units built establishments for electric power production by natural energy at the favorable places and mapped out plans for raising their generating efficiency. And they have pushed ahead with the work for carrying them into practice.

Officials across the country have striven to create the generating capacity by wind power, biomass, solar-energy and others, regarding it as one of the ways for promoting their units' development.

Pyongyang City is taking the lead in this work. The Ryuwon Footwear Factory, the Kangnam County Food Administration Station, Kim Il Sung University, the Taesongsan Management Guidance Bureau and the Mangyongdae District People's Committee have gained admirable achievements in the work for creating generating capacity by natural energy.

The same is true of the North Phyongan Provincial Power Distribution Station, several units in Jagang Province, North Hwanghae Province and Nampho City.
