Attending it were members and alternate members of the GFTUK Central Committee.

Officials of the Central Committee and provincial, city and county committees of the GFTUK were present as observers.

The meeting discussed the issue of strengthening the ideological education among the trade union members and other issues.

Pak In Chol, chairman of the GFTUK Central Committee, made a report there.

The reporter referred to the work for modeling all the trade unions on the revolutionary idea of the Party Central Committee and regarding it as the lifeline to more thoroughly establish the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un's unified leadership system in them and steadily intensifying it.

He underscored the need to intensify the struggle for sweeping away anti- and non-socialist practices threatening our idea, social system and culture so as to further consolidate our revolutionary and class position.

He said that all the trade union officials and members should take an active part in various good-conduct movements substantially helpful to the economic life of the country, the economic construction and the improvement of the people's living standard and thus make a positive contribution to the prosperity and development of the country.

He stressed that the provincial, city and county committees of the GFTUK should direct efforts to the strengthening of primary organizations and conduct in a substantial way the study and short courses for raising the officials' political and practical qualifications and capabilities so as to enhance the combat function and role of the trade unions.

The reporter urged all the workers and trade union members to fulfill their mission and duty as the eldest sons of the country and the vanguard in opening up a new phase of state development.

The meeting adopted relevant resolutions after studying draft resolutions.
