The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the institute in September Juche 101 (2012) - ten years ago.

After inspecting the institute with increased capacity, he expressed his great satisfaction, saying that lots of flowers can now be provided for flower shops thanks to the increased floricultural capacity. Noting that our people have a very high aesthetic level, he said Chairman Kim Jong Il saw to it that such fine floriculture institute was built.

Saying that the institute plays an important role in carrying out Kim Jong Il's lifetime instruction to make all sorts of flowers bloom all over the country, he advanced the tasks for its smooth operation.

True to his intention, scientists and employees of the institute have stepped up the research work to put floriculture on a scientific and industrial basis and improve the quality of flowers, while striving to breed new species of flowers.

The institute made progress in the work to acclimatize world-famous flowers to our country.
