The presentation, held on the theme of "Localization of raw and other materials and modernization of printing process", was aimed to find a sci-tech way for developing the printing equipment and processes in Korean style and settling the issue of raw materials.

Attending it were officials, scientists, technicians and three-revolution team members from different units, including the Publication Guidance Bureau, the Foreign Languages Publishing House, Pyongyang University of Publishing and Printing and the Pyongyang General Printing Plant.

Introduced there through treatises were advanced successes and experience gained in the course of developing technologies, which are of significance in enhancing the level of putting the printing industry on a scientific basis and in forming a link between research and production units.

There was a lecture on the trend of development of printing industry.
