Women's union members in the capital city of Pyongyang dedicate themselves to the construction of 10, 000 flats in Hwasong District. They are engaged in removing earth and leveling land. Women's union art squads have encouraged the builders through their performances.

Those in North Hwanghae Province have voluntarily taken part in the rural housing construction, while women in Hyesan City of Ryanggang Province secured lots of ballast to support the railway sector.

In South Hamgyong Province, women's union officials and members are giving labor and material support to the construction of dwellings in the Komdok area and to the Ryonpho Greenhouse Farm construction. Women in Kangwon Province help speed up the construction of Wonsan Greenhouse Farm.
