Aged People Live Happy Life in DPRK
Pyongyang, October 1 (KCNA) -- The aged of the DPRK lead a happy life amid the moral traits of respecting and treating the war veterans and other revolutionary forerunners preferentially growing higher with each passing day.

In the DPRK, legal and institutional measures have been taken one after another to give preferential treatment to the elderly and put them forward.

"The Law on the DPRK on the Protection for the Aged" was adopted to provide the aged with better living conditions.

The aged people are respected throughout society and enjoy a worthwhile life as revolutionary forerunners as President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il saw to it that the Party and the state took care of the old in a responsible manner and provided them with all conditions so that they could live in comfort for the rest of their days.

The nationwide and public efforts are now directed to the care of the aged under the guidance of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

There sprang up fine sanatoriums for war veterans and old people's homes across the country, and it has become a fixed national custom of our society to respect the aged and put them forward.

Centenarians are on the rise thanks to the more benefits from the state.

On the International Day of Older Persons (October 1), colorful work for the old is done across the country.
