The Pharmacy Research Institute under the Academy of Medical Science has recently made progress in the development of highly efficient Koryo medicines of over ten kinds through brisk joint research with units in the medicine production and basic experimental and clinical fields.

Particularly, the research into the development of antipyretic with locally available Koryo medicine materials is in the final stage.

The scientific research for establishing quality control methods of Koryo medicines of more than 20 kinds good for enhancing human immunity has been pushed ahead with to be introduced into different Koryo medicine pharmaceutical factories.

Success has also been witnessed in the research for using previously unknown Koryo medicine materials in the health work.

Similar achievements have been made at Pyongyang University of Medicine, Koryo Medicine General Hospital and other Koryo medicine production units.
