The proud history of the school is the one of love shown by the peerlessly great persons who brought up the children of revolutionary martyrs as the pillars of the revolution with the noblest moral obligation for the revolutionary soldiers.

Just after the liberation of Korea when everything was in need, President Kim Il Sung was determined to build a revolutionary school for the children of the soldiers who passed away on the road of the revolution. He came to Mangyongdae to set a site for the school and solved all problems arising in its construction. And he guided the construction of the school on the spot to hasten it.

On October 12, Juche 36 (1947), the day of the opening ceremony of the school, the President requested the children of the school to become able national cadres of the country by keeping the intentions of their parents and studying hard.

Since then, he had always paid deep attention to the education of the school and its management and taken warm care of the schoolchildren's study and life till the last moments of his life.

Chairman Kim Jong Il worked heart and soul to turn the revolutionary school into a training center for the backbone of the Korean revolution and into a happy home for its schoolers.

In the whole period of his revolutionary leadership, the Chairman visited the school tens of times to give precious teachings and turned it into a seat of education for the children of the revolutionary martyrs.

The children of the school are now growing up as the reliable successors to the revolution to creditably inherit the lineage of Mangyongdae, the lineage of Paektu, enjoying all blessings under the care of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who has invariably shown the love of the great leaders for them.
