Based on working out a tangible stepwise plan, the Ministry of Machine-building Industry has timely solved the sci-tech problems arising in reinforcing the production foundation, while taking measures for the supply of materials.

The Ryongsong Machine Complex is pushing ahead with the work to technically perfect its production foundation and increase its production capacity as planned. It expanded its forging process for the production of high-pressure valves and has sped up the manufacture of manipulator at the final stage. It also strives to improve the capacity of equipment such as various boring and drilling machines.

The Taean Heavy Machine Complex has focused efforts on raising the production efficiency of equipment. Advanced technology was introduced into large lathes and turning lathes.

Similar progress is witnessed at the Anju Pump Factory and other units.
