President Kim Il Sung indicated the clear and scientific way for smashing the counterrevolutionary violence of all the exploiting classes and ruling classes and winning victories in the revolution by forming the DIU, the powerful guide that rallies our nation under the banner of justice and independence. He set forth anti-imperialism, independence and socialism as the noble ideas, well aware of the fact that the antagonistic contradictions exist between the imperialists and peoples of colonial countries as imperialism is the vampire that fattens on the blood and sweat of the peoples of the colonial countries, which could only be solved by smashing the imperialists.

Although multiple adversities have been surmounted and generations of revolution have changed several times for nearly a century since then, the cause of Juche has been carried on without the slightest vacillation and the idea of independence has been successfully carried forward with the centuries and times.

The spirit of thorough anti-imperialist independence and the faith in victory of socialism are the powerful ideological and moral force that enables our people to demonstrate unimaginably great strength and win immortal and unparalleled victories by overcoming all the stern ordeals.

Thanks to the independent spirit applied in the revolutionary practice by the President, the glorious tradition of winning only victories in the revolutionary struggles at all stages and in all forms have been made.

The road indicated by the idea of the DIU is the most correct one we should follow and the spirit of the DIU is the most powerful weapon for victory in revolution. This is the review of the history of the Korean revolution which has undergone turns and twists for the past 96 years.
