The WPK Central Committee sent a message of thanks to the service personnel of the Navy and Air Force of the Korean People's Army who successfully built the large-scale greenhouse farm in the Ryonpho area.

A meeting for conveying the message of thanks took place on Monday.

Present there were Pak Jong Chon, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau and secretary of the C.C., WPK, Pak Yong Il, Kim Myong Sik, Kim Kwang Hyok and other senior officials of the armed forces organs, commanding officers of the units of the KPA and soldier-builders mobilized for the construction.

The message of thanks was delivered by Pak Jong Chon.

The WPK Central Committee in its message said that the construction of the modern large-scale vegetable production base on the east coast, which was only dusty just a few months ago, and the emergence of a new socialist countryside which can be proud of in the world, was a precious fruition of the heroic struggle of the KPA which has taken the lead in faithfully supporting the Party's idea and leadership.

It is a fruition of the gigantic creation that can be brought about only by our powerful revolutionary army, the army known as the army of the leader and the Party, that they translated the Party's grand plan into a proud reality by rising from the worst difficulties as evidenced by the vicious hostile forces' moves to stifle the DPRK coupled with the sudden malignant epidemic, the message said, adding:

Thanks to the heroic fighting spirit and matchless creativity of the service personnel, the huge construction task of building the large farm area was successfully completed, new standard of a large-scale greenhouse farm was provided for modern, intensive and industrialized production. It, therefore, has become possible to use this as a torch to build modern greenhouse farm extensively across the country to contribute to the promotion of the people's well-being and further promote the overall development of the socialist countryside.

The message expressed belief that all the soldier-builders would exert more efforts to bring about miraculous successes in succession by making redoubled efforts in the spirit of winning victory in Ryonpho and thus dynamically advance in the van of the struggle to usher in a new era of prosperity.
