Anniversary of WPK Celebrated Abroad

Pyongyang, October 22 (KCNA) -- Seminars and film shows took place in India, Italy, Serbia, the Czech Republic, Australia and Zimbabwe from October 9 to 12 to mark the 77th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK). Attending the events were personages of political parties, organizations and institutions and popular masses of those countries. Screened at the film shows were films dealing with the Party building exploits of President Kim Il Sung, Chairman Kim Jong Il and the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un and programs showing the WPK's noble outlook on posterity. Speeches were made at the events. Personages of the Indian People's Party, the Nationalist Congress Party of India and the All India Agricultural Workers' Union said that the 77 years-long history of the WPK is the one of the people-first principle believing in the people as in Heaven and devotedly serving them. The general secretary of the Movement for Peace and Socialism of Italy, the chairman of the Italian Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea and the secretary general of the European Society for the Study of the Juche Idea said that the WPK is making miracles and innovations in the revolution and construction because it has firmly adhered to the principles of independence in politics, self-support in the economy and self-reliance in national defence, uniting all the people around the leader. The chairman of the Paektusan Czech-Korean Friendship Association said that the WPK has carried forward the sacred journey of love for the people while invariably preserving the people-first idea and this is a precious outcome of the distinguished political ability of Kim Jong Un. Saying that the WPK's policy for the country's development is just, the general secretary of the Communist Party of Australia and other speakers stressed that numerous communist and workers' parties of the world support the cause of the WPK. A congratulatory message to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the event in India. |
