This year alone, a museum was built in the Rangnang area of Pyongyang to intensively show the excellent history and brilliant culture of the Korean nation. Ancient relics were unearthed in Kangdong County of Pyongyang City and Kaesong City, while relics worthy as national treasures were unearthed in Mts Myohyang and Kumgang.

Lots of historical remains of the country were restored and roads leading to some scenic spots repaired with many trees planted to add to the picturesque.
