The dynamic advance of the Korean-style socialist cause courageously braving all sorts of challenges and trials of history would have been unthinkable without the immortal exploits of Chairman Kim Jong Il.

In the early 1990s when capitalism was revived in some socialist countries, the imperialists and renegades clamored about the "end of socialism".

Kim Jong Il published famous works including "The Historical Lesson in Building Socialism and the General Line of Our Party" and "Abuses of Socialism Are Intolerable" to indicate the advantages, scientific accuracy and invincibility of Korean-style socialism and deal a blow at the sophism of those who branded socialism as "totalitarian", "barracks-like" and "administrative and commanding".

On November 1, Juche 83 (1994), he authored the celebrated work "Socialism Is a Science" to formulate the scientific accuracy and truth of socialism and the inevitability of its victory, thus putting an end to the sophism of those slandering socialism.

In his work he said that the collapse of socialism in some countries means the bankruptcy of opportunism which has corrupted socialism, not the failure of socialism as a science, and clarified in a scientific logic that socialism is the ideal and revolutionary banner of the popular masses struggling for independence.

The work gripped the hearts of hundreds of millions of people of the world as soon as it was published, and the progressive mankind has highly praised Kim Jong Il as the benefactor of all ages who saved the destiny of socialism.

The reality of the DPRK winning victory after victory under the wise leadership of the WPK proves in practice that socialism is the independent ideal and justice of the popular masses and its victory is a science.
