On Nov. 3, Juche 101 (2012), the General Secretary visited the newly-built institute to give instructions on ensuring the scrupulous management and operation of its equipment and putting the prevention and treatment of breast diseases and the scientific research into them on a high level.

The institute has been turned into a modern medical centre and a scientific research centre under the care of Kim Jong Un who sent the institute hi-tech medical equipment, LCD TVs and refrigerators as gifts.

Over the past years, its medical workers have devoted all their sincerity to the treatment and prevention work. They established a system of routine medical examination for women and positively developed and introduced advanced diagnosis and treatment methods so as to improve medical service.

Through telemedicine system, the institute has organized consultative meetings and lectures for medical workers across the country, thus helping them improve their abilities and contribute to curing patients.
