Officials and working people in the province successfully completed the construction of the medium-sized power station, true to the Party's policy of building more power stations on the Kumjin River with rich water resources.

An inaugural ceremony of the power station took place on the spot on Sunday.

Present there were Ri Jong Nam, chief secretary of the South Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Pak Tong Chol, chairman of the provincial rural economy committee, shock brigade members who took part in the construction, officials and working people in Jongphyong County and employees of the power station.

Kim Yong Sik, chairman of the provincial people's committee, made an inaugural address.
