The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un inspected the Central Tree Nursery under the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection in November Juche 103 (2014), 8 years ago, where he gave an instruction on conducting such dynamic mass campaigns as the socialist patriotic forests movement and the movement for winning the title of Model County in Afforestation.

Saying that the afforestation and forest conservancy, our noble duty and supreme patriotic work for the future and eternal prosperity of the country, should be conducted through an all-people movement, he stressed the need to cover the country with lots of trees and plants through coordinated army-people efforts.

In hearty response to his patriotic call, all the people have turned out as one in the socialist patriotic forests movement, a new type of mass movement in our era, with their love for the country.

Officials, workers, teachers and students at many units and schools across the country have dedicated themselves to afforestation and forest conservation with patriotism to turn their country into a people's paradise densely covered with green forests.

This year alone, more than 300 units won the title of Socialist Patriotic Forests.
