In October, members of Japanese local government bodies and other right-wing gangsters openly made threatening calls to the Tokyo Metropolitan Headquarters and various local headquarters of Chongryon, even clarifying themselves, and went crazy about anti-Chongryon propaganda by mobilizing loudspeaker cars.

They committed an outrage on a young student on the way home from school and purposely dropped dozens of knives in a classroom in their maximized intimidation against Korean schools, teaching staff and students.

They even went so provocative as to air an ad phrase that "If you kill a Korean resident, you'll be paid."

This is nothing but a mean unethical and reckless act to dare put a brake on the DPRK's just countermeasure for self-defence by threatening and blackmailing innocent Koreans in Japan.

The Japanese reactionaries are now trembling with fear before the tremendous military might of the DPRK, struck with extreme horror as they can't get out of the striking range of the DPRK.

Whenever they are driven into a tight corner in the confrontation with the DPRK, the Japanese reactionaries would crack down on and oppress Chongryon and Koreans in Japan, into which they now relapsed.

The Koreans in Japan are the victims and their descendants who were forcibly taken to Japan and suffered all sorts of hardships during the Japanese imperialists' colonial fascist rule, and Chongryon is an organization formed to defend the Koreans' democratic national rights.

From the historical point of view as well as the viewpoint of universal international human rights norms, Japan must bear legal obligation and moral responsibility to protect Chongryon and Koreans in Japan.

However, the Japanese reactionaries revealed once again before the world their true colors as a group of heinous political gangsters through their outrageous blackmail and persecution of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan.

What is more, it is being proven with added clarity that all of Japan's rhetoric about a rule of law and advocacy of human rights is false and deceptive as any attempt to attain sinister goal under the pretext of human life and security becomes the most despicable and nasty act.

The DPRK will never remain a passive onlooker to the Japanese authorities intensifying the vicious acts against Chongryon and Koreans in Japan, daring take issue with the DPRK's exercise of its just right for bolstering up the defence capabilities.

The Japanese authorities should clearly see who their rival is and stop at once the unethical atrocities against Chongryon and Koreans in Japan.

If Japan persists in its despicable anti-Chongryon moves despite the repeated warnings from the DPRK, it will be made to hold full responsibility for all the ensuing consequences and surely pay a high price for it.
