The construction of the farm with facilities necessary for aquaculture and seafood processing has laid a foundation for the development of the fishing industry in the province and the improvement of the people's standard of living.

An inauguration ceremony of the modern Kalma Offshore Farm built under the loving care of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un took place on Thursday.

Present there were Kim Su Gil, chief secretary of the Kangwon Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned, builders and employees of the farm.

Chairman of the provincial people's committee Chae Il Ryong made an inaugural address at the ceremony.
