The park consists of sections of historical education and folk games.

The folklore park, built in Okdo-ri of Ryonggang County, serves as an educational base for making the working people and schoolchildren enjoy the cultural and emotional life, get better understanding of the Korean nation's excellent history and traditions and cultivate their patriotic mind.

An inaugural ceremony took place on the spot on December 4.

Attending it were Kim Chol Man, secretary of the Nampho City Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials, working people and builders in the city.

Song Sung Chol, chairman of the Nampho City People's Committee, made an inaugural speech.

The participants looked round the folklore park after the ceremony.
