Kangwon Province finished the project of building waterway tunnel for the Sepho Army-People Power Station and concentrated efforts on the construction of three other power stations, thus providing sure guarantee for completing the projects in the near future.

In hearty response to the Party policy on building reliable building-materials bases, North Hamgyong Province modernized the Chongjin Wood Processing Factory, built a building-stone producer with a large capacity and considerably boosted the capacity of other building-materials producers.

Further consolidated were the foundations of the cities and counties for producing building-materials with locally available raw materials.

South Hwanghae Province, too, set the targets for adjusting and improving the irrigation facilities, constructing new reservoirs and waterways and installing efficient water pumps, and is pushing ahead with the work to attain them.
