To realize their ideals and desires, more than 60 youths in the province volunteered to work in the important sectors of socialist construction.

Many discharged soldiers in Rinsan, Koksan, Sungho, Jangphung and other counties asked to put their names on the rolls of the county construction brigades, with a patriotic zeal for turning their home villages into highly civilized ideal ones.

Youths in Songrim City petitioned to work at the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex and those in Unpha and Singye counties to work in Samjiyon City, the livestock farming base in the Sepho area and coal mines in their counties.

In order to bring earlier the bright future of the developing countryside in the new era, young people in Yonsan and Sohung counties became farmers.

A ceremony of congratulating the volunteers took place at the North Hwanghae Provincial Art Theatre on Dec. 13.

Present there were Pak Chang Ho, chief secretary of the North Hwanghae Provincial Party Committee, officials of the youth league and young people. The volunteers were awarded the certificates, and congratulatory and oath-taking speeches were made.

Officials and young people of the province presented bouquets to the volunteers and gave them a warm send-off.
