Fishery Sector of KPA Wages Winter Fishing Campaign

Pyongyang, December 16 (KCNA) -- Bearing in mind the trust of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea that put them up as the absolute followers, staunch defenders and all-out implementers of the Party's policy on fishing, officials and fishermen of the fishery sector of the Korean People's Army (KPA) are seeing good results in winter fishing.

The May 27 Fishery Station has made a signal achievement of carrying out its winter fishing plan at over 170 percent.

True to the intention of the Party that set the fishery as one of the three pillars in solving the food problem of the people, the August 25 Fishery Station, the Fishery Station No. 18 and other fishery stations are bringing in big fish hauls.

The fishery sector of the KPA supplied in time the fish it caught to servicemen and also sent them to citizens of Pyongyang.

Greeting the fish transport team, officials of Party and power organs in Pyongyang City asked the team members to convey the gratitude and encouragement of Pyongyangites to the officials and fishermen of the fishery sector of the KPA who are waging a vigorous struggle in the sea in the cold winter to improve the diet of the servicemen and people.

With the single mind to play a leading role in glorifying this significant year with bigger hauls, the fishery sector of the KPA continues to make strides in winter fishing.
