In the whole period of his revolutionary life, the Chairman visited more than 14,290 units across the country, traveling the distance of 669,844 kilometers equivalent to going round the earth nearly 17 times.

He led the revolution and construction to victory with his ardent love for the country and the people and gave field guidance to every place of the country without letup.

His ceaseless and energetic field guidance brought about century-old miracles and changes in the 1960s when a milestone for epoch-making turning point was provided in the Party building and activities, in the 1970s when a programme for modeling the whole society on Kimilsungism was declared and the heyday of Juche Korea was opened and in the 1980s of enormous creation and change.

In the mid-1990s the Chairman made a ceaseless forced march to defend the destiny of the country and the people and build a powerful socialist country of Juche on this land.

He visited about 1,000 units in the last three years of his revolutionary life with a grand aspiration to glorify the year Juche 101 (2012) greeting the 100th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung as a year of victory to be specially recorded in the history of socialist construction.

His continued field guidance for kindling the flames of the industrial revolution in the new century and raising the flames of a great revolutionary upsurge despite cold weather is a clear reminder of his whole life characterized by love and devotion for the people.

Indeed, his journey of field guidance covering over 669,844 kilometers was an immortal long journey of the peerlessly great man for the eternal foundation for the prosperity of the country and the happiness of posterity and a journey of the benevolent father full of love for the people.
