In response to the Party's policy of persistently carrying on the land improvement, the province has directed big efforts to the work for carpeting farm fields with humus soil, regarding it as an important way for achieving high results in potato farming next year.

Samjiyon City carried much more pumice to potato fields than the same period of last year.

Unhung and Paekam counties, too, carpeted the farm fields with humus soil by mobilizing all vehicles and means of transport.

Other cities and counties carried out the work for fertilizing the farm fields with quality manure.

More successes are now being made by officials and working people in the province.
