Floral baskets in the names of the General Association of Koreans in China (GAKC) and the Association of Korean Women in China were placed before the statue of President Kim Il Sung at Yuwen Middle School in Jilin on Dec. 16.

Officials of organizations of Korean compatriots in China placed floral baskets before the portraits of smiling Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and pictures of them at the DPRK missions in Shenyang and Dandong and paid homage to them.

A memorial service by the GAKC was held at the conference hall of the GAKC on Dec. 17.

Attending it were Choe Su Bong, first vice-chairman of the GAKC, and its officials, officials of affiliated organizations and members of the DPRK consulate general in Shenyang.

All the attendees paid a silent tribute in memory of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

Choe Su Bong made a memorial address.

The participants watched a special edition titled "Story Told by the People-bound Train".

Affiliated organizations of the GAKC observed a memorial service via videoconferencing.
