The Ninth Congress of the Korean Children's Union (KCU), to be held under the special care of the Party and the state and amid the blessing of all the people across the country, will mark a significant occasion in fully demonstrating the courageous spirit of the KCU members who are growing up to be reserves to shoulder the future of socialist Korea under the care of the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un and in strengthening the KCU into a revolutionary organization of young revolutionaries and patriots both in name and reality.

The participants in the congress arrived in the capital city of Pyongyang on Dec. 20. Among them are delegates of the KCU organizations from across the country who have distinguished themselves in the study and organizational life with high pride and honor of being the young masters of the most dignified and powerful country in the world and soaring hope and aspiration.

Department Director Ri Tu Song and other senior officials of the WPK Central Committee and officials of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League greeted the participants.

Streets of the city were wrapped in an atmosphere of welcome to the KCU delegates who have prepared themselves to be competent revolutionary talents equipped with knowledge, a good moral character and good health, receiving the ardent love of the motherly Party that helps nurture them in a revolutionary way.

Along Sungri, Changjon, University and other streets, many citizens and youth and schoolchildren warmly waved their hands toward the buses carrying the participants in the Ninth Congress of the KCU.
