The Ryonpho Greenhouse Farm appeared on the east coast of the country, thanks to the noble loving care of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un for the supply of vegetables to the people in Hamhung City and South Hamgyong Province.

More than 1, 000 dwelling houses, school, hall of culture and general welfare facilities, etc. were built in a diverse and peculiar way to form a farm city, modern rural residential area of Korean style. Those buildings are designed to harmonize with the large greenhouse farm.

True to the Party's policy, the people in the province built a 40km-long waterway in the Kumya area. Consequently, a gravity-fed irrigation system was completed to supply irrigation water to more than 4, 000 hectares of paddy and dry fields in 10-odd farms of Kumya County.

The material and technical foundations for dairy production were further consolidated by the devoted efforts of the working people of the stockbreeding units.

The South Hamgyong Provincial Medical Oxygen Factory and the Songchongang Tile Factory were built and remodeled on a high quality level.

Successes have been also made in the rural construction. Officials and builders of the province built modern rural houses in the areas of Kumya, Pukchong and Jangjin counties in a few months.
