The book contains 66 works including historic speeches, conclusions and talks made by the President in the period from July to December Juche 42 (1953).

In those works, the President set the basic line of postwar economic construction and indicated the orientation and ways for successfully implementing it and the principles and the class policy to be maintained in cooperativizing the rural economy and the stages of cooperativization and the scale of the cooperative economy.

And he advanced the revolutionary policies for bolstering up the combat capability of the People's Army in every way and the tasks and ways for training more competent technical personnel firmly armed with the line and policy of the Workers' Party of Korea and possessed of advanced science and technology and for the cultural art field to produce many art works suited to the aspiration and demands of the times and the people.

Carried in the book are also works giving perfect answers to the theoretical and practical problems arising in the postwar economic reconstruction, including the works that stress the importance to direct efforts to the development of the fishing industry, settle the shortage of manpower and carry out well the postwar reconstruction of Pyongyang City and build a modern telephone office.
