Reports and speeches were made at the celebration of working people and members of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea (GFTUK) and the celebration of agricultural workers and members of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea (UAWK).

The reporters and speakers said at the meetings that Kim Jong Un's assumption as the supreme commander of the armed forces of the DPRK is the greatest fortune of our motherland and people and a great revolutionary auspicious event to be specially recorded in the history of the Juche-oriented army building.

They referred to the fact that over the past 11 years all the people have demonstrated the dignity and prestige of a powerful country with tremendous national power, being convinced of the victory of the revolutionary cause of Juche under his outstanding and seasoned leadership.

They lauded the immortal exploits of Kim Jong Un who set the modeling the entire army on Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism as the general task for the army building in the advance of the new century of Juche and has strengthened the Korean People's Army (KPA) into the matchless revolutionary army with his tireless energetic leadership.

They noted that the law on the policy of the state nuclear forces was adopted at the Seventh Session of the 14th Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK and, thereby, the position of the DPRK as a nuclear weapons state became irreversible and the strategic and absolute strength of the dignified Juche Korea was demonstrated to the whole world.

They stressed that the eye-opening events of strengthening the national defence capability that the DPRK has been put on the position of full-fledged nuclear power which no aggressive forces dare to approach are the precious fruition of the shining revolutionary leadership of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un.

Present at the celebrations were officials of the central committees of the GFTUK and the UAWK, working people, trade union members and agricultural workers.
