Number of Young Volunteers Increases in DPRK
Pyongyang, December 31 (KCNA) -- More than 4, 790 young people throughout the country have volunteered to work at difficult and labour-consuming sectors after the 4th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Young people of Pyongyang City volunteered to work at the Management Office for Revolutionary Battle Sites in the Secret Camp of Mt Paektu, the Komdok Mining Complex, the Livestock Farming Base in the Sepho area, the Chongjin Fishery Station and the Hoechang County Forest Management Station to fulfill their duty as the patriotic youth on the general onward march for hastening the overall development of Korean-style socialism.

Those of North and South Phyongan provinces volunteered to work at farms in the provinces.

Such young volunteers were witnessed in all other provinces and cities and counties of the country.
