With a view to discharging the tasks set forth by the Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials and workers of the institutions, industrial establishments, etc. in the province sent a lot of compost to the farms on Jan. 2.

Officials of the provincial people's committee, the provincial committee of the youth league and other provincial-level institutions positively tapped internal reserves, and thus secured thousands of tons of compost in a short span of time.

Haeju City and Jaeryong and Paechon counties and other areas carried the compost, which they secured with lots of effort, to farm fields on various vehicles.

Women's union members and residents in the province, too, secured lots of manure and sent it to farms.
