Hundreds of Tons of Scrap Iron Sent to Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex in DPRK

Pyongyang, January 3 (KCNA) -- After hearing the news about the Sixth Enlarged Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials and working people in North Hwanghae Province of the DPRK have supported the steel industry since the beginning of the New Year.

Officials and working people of the province collected hundreds of tons of scrap iron to send it to the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex.

The provincial people's committee and other provincial-level institutions secured lots of scrap iron by positively finding the source.

Cities and counties of the province took an active part in the support to the complex.

Working people of Songrim and Sariwon cities, Hwangju and Yonthan counties and other areas collected lots of scrap iron for the complex, and women's union members in dongs and neighborhood units, too, set examples in collecting scrap iron.
