Hydroelectric Power Stations in DPRK Boost Production
Pyongyang, January 4 (KCNA) -- Large hydroelectric power stations in South Hamgyong Province of the DPRK are boosting production from the beginning of the new year.

The power stations have taken economic and practical measures to put the production of electricity on a normal footing even in winter while conducting frontline-style political work to enlist the masses in implementing the grand struggle policies set forth at the Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The Jangjingang Power Station over-fulfills its daily quota while simultaneously pushing ahead with production and maintenance work.

The workers and technicians of the Hochongang Power Station are purposefully pushing ahead with the maintenance and reinforcement of production base to ensure high water level and high-efficiency operation.

The Pujongang Power Station has carried out its daily plan without fail by directing big efforts to maintaining the dam structure, repairing generators and improving the efficiency of water turbines while overcoming unfavorable working conditions.

The workers of the Kumyagang Army-People Power Station have made signal progress in their production by conducting a socialist emulation while conducting the equipment management and the control of water level in a scientific way and rationally distributing the load of generating equipment.
