Progress Made in Improving Quality of Products

Pyongyang, January 4 (KCNA) -- Last year, all sectors and units of the national economy in the DPRK launched a campaign to improve the quality of products in hearty response to the decision of the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Officials of industrial establishments across the country had conducted the work for technical upgrading of production processes, improving the quality of products and developing new products by relying on their own technical manpower.

In the course, many units in the light industry, building-materials and pharmaceutical industries and other fields won the certification of quality control system, the certification of food safety management system and the GMP certification on production processes.

And hundreds of pieces of products from dozens of units were registered as February 2 Goods.
