The Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea correctly analyzed and reviewed the experience and lessons accumulated in the struggle last year and, on this basis, clarified the orientation of advance of our Party and the state and the main link in making a new leap forward in conformity with the prevailing situation and the specific reality of the country.

Lying ahead of the advance of this year for opening up a new phase of upsurge in socialist construction are unavoidable obstacles and the situation may be more severe than now. But our struggle is sure to triumph and the victorious advance of socialism of our style is a science.

As shown by the past more than ten years, the appearance and prestige of socialist Korea have been changed racing against time thanks to the far-reaching ideal of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un and the world is changing according to the will of the peerlessly great man.

The DPRK is making a long drive following up the victory as it has the firm trust of all the people in their leader and their absolute support to him and their spirit of devotedly implementing the Party's policies.

We should firmly maintain the tradition of loyalty and the tradition of patriotism, peculiar to the Korean revolution and the state, and build a socialist power thriving under the banner of independence in politics, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliance in national defence with the great strength of loyalty and patriotism.
